The Langham Osteopathic and Physiontherapy Clinic

About Us

Dear Patient,

Thank you for visiting our website. I do hope you find it informative and interesting.

Following my graduation in 1995 from the European School of Osteopathy, Maidstone, Kent, I also became in January 2006 a Chartered Physiotherapist and in 2008, a practitioner of the Neurological integration system (NIS).

In the United Kingdom I am registered with the following statutory regularly bodies: The General Osteopathic Council Health Professions Council, a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, the British Association of Osteopaths, the NIS register and the Sutherland Cranial College pathway.

In France: The Ministry of Health (DRASS) and the French Register of Osteopaths.

On completion of the Master of Science module 'Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynaecology' in 1997, I tutored osteopathic students for five years at the University of Wales outpatient's Obstetrics and Gynaecology clinic. This experience prompted the beginning of a continuing search for effective and durable treatments which are gentle and comfortable for the patient, rather than the traditional soft tissue massage and high velocity thrust (HVT) approach.

My search has resulted in travelling to Italy, Switzerland, France and within the U.K. allowing me to select amongst others, the French based Mechanical Link Osteopathy, the Midline approach from California, Cranial Osteopathy and New Zealand's Neurological Integration System.

Today, the treatments that I practice are chosen for their efficacy, safety and gentleness and selected to suit you the patient. They can therefore be administered to those of all age groups including sports people, the elderly, pregnant women, babies and children.

My aim is always to treat you in the most successful and comfortable way that I know. The therapeutic intention is oriented to be non-invasive, together with ergonomic advice and wherever appropriate, exercises. The Clinic's patient confidentiality policy provides you with a high standard of professional care.

Should you decide to telephone for an appointment, you will be answered by my French wife Valerie, who has been of invaluable assistance and patience in allowing me the time for my continued studies. She acts as clinic receptionist and manages our family run countryside clinic. Our telephone number is +44 (0)1206 27 27 20.

Yours faithfully,

Richard C. M. Kemp D.O. MCSP. MROF.
